During board reports, a member described the FPAN (Florida Public Archaeology Network) 10th-anniversary summit and the success of a volunteer shoreline monitoring program that now spans many counties. Members also updated the board on Hastings Main Street activities: a small-mansion grant to renovate an old jail structure, plans for a walking-tour app with markers for about 12–15 properties, and a $15,000 Cultural Council commitment for a garden-improvement project and a work day scheduled for Oct. 17.
