SRO reports calls for service, will oversee DARE program before school year

Officer Sehl delivered the School Resource Officer report, summarizing recent calls for service and announcing that the SRO will assume responsibility for the DARE program ahead of the 2026–27 year. The officer highlighted readiness efforts for the Aug. 31 first day of school.
The board did not take formal action on the report but discussed safety procedures later in the meeting when approving updated Emergency Operating Procedures for 2026–27. “This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting,” the Board President reminded the audience during opening remarks.
