Council asks Lakeside HOA to restrict one-side parking after emergency-access concerns
After the fire department reported difficulties accessing some Lakeside streets when cars are parked on both sides, the council voted to send a letter to the Lakeside HOA asking it to prohibit parking on one side of the street for public safety; First Sgt. Aita said he would explore options with the Sheriff’s Department.

President Schmidt relayed that the fire department has raised concerns about emergency vehicles being unable to get down some Lakeside streets when cars are parked on both sides. First Sgt. Aita said he would "look into the issue and see what the Sheriff’s Department can do to help alleviate the problem."
