New facility design advances as SWPPP items cleared and WERC completes site work
Consultant Arcadis reported closure of Alaska DEC's SWPPP review after addressing 38 items; the WERC building is complete and site concept design for the replacement campus (long-term care and hospital) is advancing with Bettisworth North identified for full design development.

Arcadis consultant Justin Wetzel told the board April 30 that the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) review with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has been closed after completion of responses to an initial list of 38 items. Wetzel said the ADEC requirements have been satisfied and formal documentation is expected from the state.
