The City of Carlos approved its annual Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation insurance renewal at the July 9 council meeting. Clarke Comer presented the package, reporting "Overall, a 3% cost decrease" and an annual premium of $29,815 covering Property & Casualty ($24,249) and Workers’ Compensation ($5,566), with a $2,500 deductible and $1 million per-incident limit.
Council member Jon Trenne moved to approve the renewals and James Young seconded; the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote. The approval keeps existing coverage levels in place as the city and staff prepare budget materials for the coming year.
