Village proclaims May 2026 as Police Week and Public Works Week
The board unanimously adopted resolutions recognizing May 2026 as National Police Week and the week of May 2026 as National Public Works Week, with the police chief and public works representative highlighting service and teamwork.

The Village Board unanimously approved Resolution 26-16 to designate May 2026 as National Police Week and Resolution 26-17 to designate the week of May 2026 as National Public Works Week. Police Chief thanked the board and told trustees the week recognizes officers’ sacrifice and service; he introduced several department members including a new canine officer and noted community support such as donations and the Pleasant Prairie Police Appreciation Foundation’s purchase of 40 ceramic protective plates in 2025.
