Planning board flags zoning-minute coordination and possible code updates

Chairman Alexandra Welsh reported that she met with Dave Fantuzzo and Roger Gallant and urged that the Planning Board receive copies of Zoning Board minutes so both bodies can better track local issues. The board discussed instances where residents appear to be placing structures in zones where they may not belong and whether the zoning law needs updating.
Roger Gallant advised that the zoning code should be updated where the same issues recur, and warned "the only one that you should stay away from is the 75’ front yard setback in the resort district which is the water side," citing that setback as a sensitive rule. Larry Lockwood asked whether storage containers were permitted; Gallant said they are allowed only for temporary use. No formal motion or change to the code was made; the conversation was a request for further review and cross-board coordination.
