Maintenance warns test cart-path material failed; road base recommended

Cole Burdick, the golf-course maintenance lead, told the board that a test section of cart path did not perform as expected and recommended further work to find a durable solution.
"The material used turns to dust when dry and becomes extremely tacky and makes a mess when too wet," Burdick said. He reported that he spoke with Martin Trout at the road department, who recommended placing road base beneath the cart-path material to improve durability. Burdick said the cost of that road base remains to be determined, and the board requested additional cost estimates and updates at a future meeting.
The minutes also list new signage discussion; no specific signage designs or budgets were decided at the meeting.
