Local transmission and solar projects reported moving forward; pumped-storage test set for August

Jeremy Drew briefed the committee on several regional and local energy projects. He said SWIP North is under construction; Greenlink North is expected to publish a supplemental environmental impact statement soon; CrossTie asked to present at next month’s meeting; and projects such as White Pine Solar, a gentie line to Robinson Substation, Pantheon, Samantha in Jakes Valley and Lonely Road could be moving forward to NEPA now that some legal holds have been cleared.
Drew also reported that the White Pine Pumped Storage Project has a hydrogeologic test scheduled in August and that additional well testing is planned as part of the project’s site work. No formal county actions were taken; the committee heard the informational update and noted industry interest in returning with more details.
