Planning Board member Larry Lockwood told the board on Sept. 3 that the Department of Emergency Management is the point of contact for hazard-mitigation issues and encouraged members to consult the department if necessary.
Chairman Alexandra Welsh had circulated materials for board review and asked members whether any changes were needed. Lockwood also reported on the Wayne County meeting and noted an upcoming training session in Seneca County on Oct. 1, 2025 that can be used to satisfy the four-hour training requirement for members.
No formal action was taken at the meeting on hazard-mitigation policy; board members were asked to review materials and consider attendance at the October training.
