Maintenance report: cart-path aggregate failed; asphalt quote exceeds $200,000

Maintenance staff reported problems with the cart-path material: the donated road sand became muddy in rain and very dusty when dry, making it unsuitable for long-term use. Cole Burdick said he reached out to the county road department for an asphalt quote, which ‘‘came back to be over $200,000.’’
Given the high asphalt estimate, Burdick said the board could consider redirecting originally donated funds toward hole signage as previously discussed. He also told the board that tarps on the greens would begin coming off this week as the season advances.
