Wastewater Task Force: 90% PER imminent; CHIP presentation requested to discuss financing

Selectboard members received an update from the Wastewater Task Force. Erik Johnson said the task force is meeting next week and the 90% Prelimary Engineering Report (PER) should be issued before October. Peter Booth reported the outreach committee is coordinating with the school and athletic director about field impacts and said CHIP (Community Housing Improvement Program) could be an important financing source. Peter asked that Samantha Dunn give a 15-minute presentation on CHIP to the Selectboard; he said the 90% PER should be presented on a separate night from the CHIP conversation so the board and public can consider financing options without conflating technical engineering results.
No final financing decision was made; the board agreed to schedule a CHIP presentation in October and to review the 90% PER as soon as it is available.
