The council voted to adopt Ordinance No. 2,842, which would make permanent the co‑living housing allowances in the Enumclaw Municipal Code.
Community Director Chris Bessner told the council: "This ordinance this evening would adopt permanent co‑living housing allowances within the Municipal Code." He said the regulations had been adopted previously as an interim ordinance in December and reaffirmed in February and that the only differences were additional definitions for a kitchen and kitchenette.
Council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance on second reading by voice vote; staff recommended adoption. The ordinance updates municipal code sections related to definitions and the residential land‑use matrix to add a co‑living housing designation.
