City Manager Sylvia told council the development-code rewrite remains a top priority because the code underpins master plans, public hearings at Planning & Zoning and future annexations. She said the Planning & Zoning commission review is scheduled for Feb. 26, with a first council reading on Jan. 24 and a second reading on Feb. 14 (dates presented in the packet).
Sylvia also referenced anticipated annexations tied to a city MUD and the rest of Alverda as water and wastewater become available. She emphasized that the code rewrite will trigger public hearings and play a pivotal role in TIRZ boundary decisions and future development approvals.
