The Merkel City Council voted on June 16 to authorize filing an application for financial assistance with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and to name an authorized representative to execute the application and related findings. Councilmember Elaine Chaney moved to approve the Application filing and Authorized Representative Resolution; Tyler Newberry seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
