Staff said abatement work would be charged to the property and placed on the tax roll if unpaid; council members noted county liens and homestead exemptions can limit enforcement until a property transaction occurs. A motion to adopt the resolution was made by a council member and seconded; the clerk recorded voting in favor and the motion passed. The council directed staff to proceed with abatement and to provide follow-up details to the council as costs are finalized.
