Parks staff told the commission that the SportsPlex site survey is finished, geotechnical testing is complete and perimeter fencing installation is expected to finish soon. Tony said the council approved a contract with MultiChem for outsourced fertilization and aeration services to help maintain the fields, and staff will schedule the company for recurring field maintenance.
An engineering request for qualifications (RFQ) for SportsPlex improvements went live and will remain open through Oct. 31; staff said they will review submissions and bring contracting options to council once qualified teams are identified. Tony described coordination with maintenance and vendor schedules as the next step toward procurement and construction.
