Staff cautioned that piecemeal changes may duplicate future UDC work and that some legal or grant conditions favor waiting for the UDC, but agreed to schedule targeted workshops for items the council wants advanced now.
Council members asked whether some items could go through Planning & Zoning (PNZ) for review rather than a council workshop, and staff confirmed PNZ will be involved when appropriate. The discussion produced informal direction to prioritize the parkland‑dedication work and to return with targeted workshop scheduling and draft ordinance language for items the council identified as urgent.
