Engineers: TWDB projects moving toward bids; wastewater permit delay halts sludge hauling
KPA Engineers told the council that TWDB projects in review could be bid in early 2025, but a miscommunication delayed the city's wastewater permit renewal to TCEQ; as a result, the city cannot haul sludge until a new permit is issued.

Tommy Valle and Jake Blair of KPA Engineers updated the council on projects the city has before the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). They said projects still in TWDB review would proceed to bidding once the board approves them, and the hope is to advertise bids in early 2025.
