Long Beach fire department weighs engine replacement and possible fee changes

Fire Department representative Dave Albers told the council the department’s ISO rating is 4 and that new engine training is nearing completion; the final equipment installation for the New Engine 1 is 99% finished. Albers said the Fire Commission has begun researching replacement options for Engine E2 but noted the used market has limited options.
