Douglas County advisory panel approves 2027 CCOP plan with added reporting requirements

The Douglas County Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP) Advisory Committee voted to approve the 2027 CCOP Plan during its Aug. 5 meeting, adding specific reporting requirements to a plan questionnaire.
Committee member Debora Carroll moved to approve the plan with the insertion to Question #18 that committee members asked to read into the record: "...budget analysis, program update with total children served, demographics, and target populations." Shari Pioro seconded the motion, which carried without recorded dissents.
The approved plan and the accompanying Procedure Guide outline how departmental services and funds are used and how the program meets state requirements. Committee members discussed the need for clearer reporting to track who is served and how funds are allocated; the added Question #18 language is intended to require a program-level summary covering counts and demographic details.
Next steps recorded in the meeting minutes include implementation of the reporting language in plan materials and continuing review of related documents (bylaws and the Procedure Guide) at a future meeting.
