Wayne County corrections staff report higher workloads amid staffing increases and ongoing construction

Justin Huber told the Wayne County Corrections Planning Board that adding mental-health and reentry personnel has increased work for officers, who are also managing logistical problems from ongoing construction and renovation. "The increase in mental health and reentry staff has created an increase in work for officers that are already dealing with logistic issues due to construction and renovation," Huber said.
