Staff said federal funding is lined up and the appraisal is part of the county’s commitment under its Habitat Conservation Plan to facilitate such acquisitions.
"You'll recall, Commissioners, that in our Habitat Conservation Plan we agreed as a county to help facilitate these acquisitions by the Federal Government," a staff member said during the presentation. A commissioner moved adoption of the resolution and another seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote. The resolution authorizes county staff to execute the appraisal contract and accept the resulting appraisal report as required for the planned acquisition.
