Search and Rescue reports 22 callouts, about 1,000 man‑hours in first quarter

Lieutenant Croft presented the Search and Rescue summary for Jan. 1–Mar. 16, 2026: 22 SAR callouts totaling approximately 1,007 man‑hours (885.5 certified volunteer hours; 121.5 certified man‑hours cited), with 23 in‑county rescues and cases involving out‑of‑county, out‑of‑state and international subjects. He highlighted several incidents: a missing 19‑year‑old who was located deceased after a 109‑hour search in mid‑January, and a missing at‑risk juvenile in Apple Valley found safe after about six hours of searching during severe weather.
