Neoga council approves computerized DigiTicket program for police

Police Chief Andy Schabbing told the City of Neoga City Council that the DigiTicket computerized ticketing program will eliminate paper tickets and weekly vehicle trips to the county, and reduce recurring wage, gas and vehicle expenses. Schabbing said the program will cost the city $1,400 per year compared with roughly $1,900 per year in current expenses, a savings of about $500. After discussion, Commissioner Helm moved to approve the program contingent on a final agreement with Cumberland County; Commissioner Hakman seconded the motion and it passed 4-0.
