Giles farm easement purchase delayed until deeded ROW is provided
Board staff told the Wayne County Agricultural Land Preservation Board the Giles farm easement cannot proceed because the deeded right-of-way (ROW) to the exclusion area has not been received; staff also reported a driveway permit for Dean Giles was received and that state allowed the Highland farm ranking to stand despite an ArB soil-type discrepancy.

The Wayne County Agricultural Land Preservation Board was told on April 15 that the county cannot move forward with an easement purchase for the Giles farm until a deeded right-of-way (ROW) for the property's exclusion area is delivered to staff. Jessica Yoder informed the board that staff have not yet received the deeded ROW, a required document for the easement transaction to proceed.
