Staff explained the streamlined path: for consolidations of five lots or fewer, applicants will prepare a short plat, the city engineer and planning chair will review administratively, and staff will present a council recommendation showing the new single lot for county assessor processing. "So in the past, we've administratively approved these documents, and that resolves it for the tax assessor, but it doesn't resolve the ongoing issue of consolidating properties so that when they go to sell the property the plan is already in place," staff said. Council discussion focused on clarifying the administrative steps; no ordinance vote was taken at this meeting.
