A council member reported that Reynolds County's hazard mitigation action plan has expired and that county and city staff previously participated in hazards planning.
"The Reynolds County has a mitigation action plan, and we've had several meetings. It expired," said Committee member (Speaker 7). A public works staffer (Speaker 6) volunteered to prepare a report with renewal timing and background, noting such plans are typically revisited on a multi-year cycle.
Council asked staff to assemble a status update and next steps so the city and county can determine timing for renewing or amending the plan. No formal motion or vote was recorded on the mitigation plan during this meeting.
