Council introduces two new full-time firefighters
Summary
Mayor and fire department leaders introduced two new full-time firefighters, Sefran Kiavle and Julie Williamson, both of whom began orientation that week and will complete training with crews over the coming days.
South Ogden introduced two new full-time firefighters during the Aug. 19 council meeting.
Deputy Fire Chief Story told the council, "This is Sefran Kiavle and Julie Williamson. They both came to us after our testing process that we had about a month ago. They both started on Monday and they're working through their orientation this week." Story said both recruits bring some prior experience and are rotating through crews to complete skills training.
The mayor welcomed the new hires and asked to take a photograph. Council members thanked the fire department and welcomed the new staff.
