Resident says Kellner Ditch crews trespassed and asks county for documents

During the Aug. 11 meeting a resident raised disputes over the Kellner Ditch project, saying crews have worked on his property without an established legal right-of-way and that his land has been rendered "unsafe and unusable" since crews trespassed in March 2025. "It's been 17 months now since the crews initially trespassed on my property and started to work," Dan Wilson told the commissioners during the agenda-item public comment period.
Wilson asked how many landowners received accommodations and how officials decided which landowners were given those accommodations, saying he had not received the documents he requested. He told commissioners that he had asked in April for a final hearing notification letter and the final ditch plan or report and that the county website link goes only to a resolution rather than the underlying letter. "It does not take you to the letter that was sent out... those documents should be uploaded so that people can see them and have the accurate information," he said.
