The Hilliard Planning and Zoning Board approved a second, adjacent site‑clearing/site‑work application from Palmetto Construction LLC (application 20260120.3) for lots next to the parcel approved earlier in the meeting.
Land use administrator Leanne Wallachs said the second application is the same as the first and concerns the buildable lot adjoining the previously approved parcel. She reminded the board that drainfield location is determined by percolation testing and that the health department may require retesting or moving stakes to ensure the drainfield sits on the applicant’s lot.
Wallachs explained the staff process for verifying final drainfield placement and noted that final inspection and certification of occupancy require that the drainfield be on the applicant’s property. The board moved, seconded and recorded affirmative voice votes to approve the application; the board again noted that septic and state or county permits must be secured.
