Leander ISD's agenda packet asks trustees to approve a resolution casting the district's 155 votes for John Havenstrite in the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) Board of Directors election. Pete Pape, Ed.D., CPA, the district chief financial officer and the administrator responsible for the item, noted that Senate Bill 2 (from the fourth special session of the 88th Texas Legislature) changed terms for appointed TCAD members and that the district must participate in the fall election to fill the board seats beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
