During the fire department report, the department reported recent call activity and requested permission to hire Kyle Rockers to the 09:50 station at Lacey pending preemployment screenings. The fire report speaker asked for the hire: "I would like to ask permission to hire Kyle Rockers to our 09:50 station at Lacey, pending all preemployment screenings." A motion to hire Rockers was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
