Board chair Commissioner Sher Seberg moved to add item 17(a) to the agenda "to accept the previously posted RFPs." Several members and staff discussed whether the RFPs had already been posted and whether the committee or the full board had formally approved posting. As staff member S5 acknowledged, "I jumped the gun on that... I apologize," and said there were no ill intentions in moving the posting forward. After discussion that the county needs to ensure legal notice was completed, the board agreed to accept the previously posted RFPs and proceed with the public process.
The board left open the option to extend the RFP period or revisit bids if necessary at the next meeting. No formal bid awards were made at the meeting; members said they would review returned bids and the committee’s recommendation at a later date.
