Commissioners opt for construction manager-at-risk delivery for courthouse projects

County commissioners heard from Elevatus and county project staff about available construction delivery methods and the advantages of using a construction manager-at-risk for the courthouse and related projects. Elevatus explained delivery options (design'bid'build, design'build, agent, and CMAR) and recommended either traditional design'bid'build or CMAR for this scope; the commissioners favored CMAR for its construction expertise at the design table and its ability to tailor bid packages to include local contractors.
