Representative Ken Sweezy visited the Halifax Board of Selectmen on Aug. 11 to review FY26 historical local‑aid figures and what the signed FY27 budget means for the town. He said local aid rose generally in the 2–3.5% range and highlighted an FY26 supplemental that put nearly "$138,000 extra dollars" into Halifax for winter‑storm road mileage recovery.
