The Silver Spring Township Zoning Hearing Board on April 14 approved a special exception requested by Thomas Rider, owner of Rider Racing Engines, to permit a minimal expansion tied to replacement of ventilation hoods at 3 Souder Court in Mechanicsburg. The request was considered under Section 603 of the Silver Spring Township Zoning Ordinance for a prior non‑conforming use in the C‑1 (Commercial Neighborhood) zoning district.
