Rangely manager warns rain damage will keep water plant work ongoing; river project, community kiosk to proceed

Interim town manager Lisa Perring said the town’s departments have been busy addressing operational problems and projects, and she told the council the recent rainstorms have ‘‘caused a lot of problems with the water treatment plant’’ that will likely require extra work for years and that ‘‘we don’t see any additional funds coming in’’ from FEMA at this time. She also reported the gas department remains in the middle of a PUC audit and that crews will continue mosquito spraying and meter changes.
