During the budget discussion, Brian Baylor highlighted recent economic development successes and potential opportunities the city could pursue to increase revenue. He said the city had attracted a small manufacturing employer that needed to expand and noted available property along Highway 116 across from a Casey's and Dollar General that the city is marketing to prospective businesses. "We've got some property along 116... pretty nice property right across from, like, Casey's and, Dollar General that we're starting to market," he said.
