Commission hears authorization request to complete design work on paused reconstruction project

Staff told the commission the reconstruction project (original design contract from Nov. 2021) remains roughly 90% complete but was paused due to escalating costs and funding limits. Staff said $188,000 of the original agreement has been spent and there remains design work to update current standards, revise details and prepare bidding documents so the project can be advertised for construction.
