Peekskill approves 3D PVC storefront letters for 922 Main Street

Paula, who identified herself as representing Roto Sprinting and Science in Peekskill, presented a storefront sign application for 922 Main Street. She said the applicant proposes 3D PVC lettering and a full‑color laminated logo on a rounded PVC backing; the finalized installation will project roughly 1 inch from the wall (0.5" stud plus 0.5" letter thickness). Paula said the proposal matches prior signage and the sample she circulated.

A staff member recommended assessing the PVC material quality and noted the committee's prior guidance on lighting; the staff recommendation specified 3,000 Kelvin for the gooseneck fixtures. After questions about font, thickness and whether the sign would be illuminated from above (the building’s existing lights will remain), the committee moved to approve the sign as sampled and voted in favor.

"We are proposing to have a 3 d lettering, here in, 922 Main Street," Paula said during her presentation. The staff member summarized the lighting recommendation as "staff recommends the 3,000 Kelvin lighting" for the gooseneck lights.

The committee recorded the motion and approved the application. The owner/building will retain the current building-mounted lights; the sign itself will not be internally lit but will be lit from the top by existing fixtures.
