On Aug. 12, 2025, the Town of Huron Zoning Board of Appeals approved Special Permit 1234-25SP, allowing Thomas Hunt to build a 32' x 40' x 16' pole barn at 9535 Ridge Rd. The board found the project a Type II action under SEQRA and imposed a lighting nuisance stipulation; the vote was 6–0.

The Town of Huron Zoning Board of Appeals on Aug. 12 approved Special Permit 1234-25SP for Thomas Hunt to construct a 32' x 40' x 16' pole barn at 9535 Ridge Rd. The board determined the proposal to be a Type II action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), accepted a Short Environmental Assessment Form and closed the public hearing before moving to a decision.
