Commission appropriates $25,000 to SwitchPoint homeless resource center
Washington County approved a $25,000 appropriation to SwitchPoint Community Resource Center, the county's primary homeless shelter, and encouraged cities benefiting from the center to contribute as well.

The commission approved Resolution R2026-3766 to appropriate $25,000 to SwitchPoint Community Resource Center, which county staff described as the only homeless shelter serving Washington County. The chair said the appropriation is a county contribution to supplement city funding and private fundraising efforts and encouraged other municipalities to increase their support given that many city residents benefit from the shelter’s services.
