CTUIR hosts Pendleton School Board; board praises CTE staff

The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) hosted the Nov. 10 board meeting; CTUIR Education Director Jaimie Crane described the partnership and invited the board to visit CTUIR education facilities. Director Anne Keeler praised Hawthorne CTE staff as "the true embodiment of the motto 'every student, every day.'"
The Nov. 10 meeting was held in the Pendleton Room at Hamley’s Steakhouse and hosted by the CTUIR education department. Jaimie Crane, Education Director for CTUIR, introduced herself, thanked the board for allowing CTUIR to host the meeting and extended an invitation to board members and staff to visit CTUIR's education department.
Board members used the final comments period to praise local career and technical education programs. Director Anne Keeler reported on a visit to Pendleton High School and Hawthorne CTE programs, saying staff Tim Foster and Wes Armstrong are "the true embodiment of the motto 'every student, every day.'" Chair Beth Harrison reiterated appreciation for CTUIR's hosting and noted upcoming celebrations of Native American students.
