The board accepted multiple grants and donations to district schools during its Nov. 10 meeting. Notable awards included $4,150 for the PSD Annual Art Show, a $4,130.70 ASPIRE Fall College Tour grant, and several smaller awards ranging from $200 to $1,500 for classroom supplies, family literacy nights, battle-of-the-books programs and student field trips.
Director Patrick Gregg recused himself from the grant portion of the consent agenda before the board voted to approve the consent items. The minutes note that "A letter of appreciation will be sent to each donor." The district will follow up administratively to distribute funds and thank donors.
