The License, Permits & Franchises Committee met May 12 and reviewed the department's permit and code-enforcement report. Chairman Lewandowski presented figures showing 78 permits issued between April 8 and May 5, 2026, and year-to-date totals of 272 permits from Jan. 1–May 5, 2026. Permit fees collected for April 8–May 5 totaled $59,185; year-to-date permit fees were $115,146.40. Re-inspection fees were $300 for the period and $1,500 year-to-date; code-compliance violations numbered 17 during the period and 32 year-to-date. Building fines collected were $0 for the period and $250 year-to-date.
