During the Sept. 10 meeting, staff provided updates on the Welcome Party and the Christmas for Kids program and requested additional funding for the latter. Council member Jada Murray moved to allot an $800 budget for Christmas for Kids; Mary Grady seconded the motion. The minutes record that the council approved the $800 allotment with no opposing votes.
