Council flags auditor charges that exceeded budgeted amount

Council members raised concerns that the audit firm charged more than the $9,000 that had been budgeted and that the city had signed a three-year contract that they had not fully reviewed. "We had 9,000 budgeted, but he charged us more than that," one council member said, adding that the contract appeared to run three years and billing should be examined and re-evaluated.
