Council members discussed a shift in CASA funding after the program lost a VOCA grant. A council speaker explained that the county advised moving the part-time VOCA-funded CASA position from the grant into the CASA department budget so the program could continue the role. "They lost the VOCA grant, and you guys told them they could move that part time VOCA CASA person from the grant to their department," a council member said.
