Jackson County resolutions on gray wolf delisting, ESA reform adopted at NACo

Commissioner Colleen Roberts told the July 23 staff meeting that the Board's proposed resolutions on delisting the gray wolf and reforming the Endangered Species Act were presented at the NACo 2026 Annual Conference and were unanimously approved with co-sponsors.

Commissioner Colleen Roberts reported that she presented two Jackson County–backed resolutions at the National Association of Counties (NACo) 2026 Annual Conference: one calling for delisting the gray wolf and another proposing reforms to the Endangered Species Act. Roberts said both resolutions were unanimously approved and gained multiple co-sponsors during the Public Lands Policy Steering Committee session.
